Selecting and attracting the best candidates

Package negotiation
Salaries are both important and sensitive issues for both candidates and clients and as such we seek to ensure that they are handled professionally.

Every consultant has been trained in the art of conducting salary negotiations and will have had many years’ experience in managing the process to successful conclusion.

Your consultant will understand that it is within every party’s interest to offer the correct salary level and package in order for the offer to be accepted and negotiation kept to a minimum.

We would always advise against offering a candidate directly at interview stage. Whilst it can be flattering for a candidate, it can also be embarrassing and omits the chance for a candidate to consider every aspect required to make a decision. For this reason, the process will often falter and require to be repeated.

Package negotiation can be complex a basic salary level is not usually the only element. We seek to find out the elements of a package such as share schemes, company car, re-location packages, which will entice the candidate to accept the role, ensuring to manage the candidates expectations of what is available throughout the process.

Armed with our third party knowledge, we aim to ensure that your success in enticing your favoured candidate is increased and that salary negotiations are proficient rather than protracted.

Ensuring the candidate starts
We maintain contact with candidates who have been placed until they commence their new employment to ensure that all concerns have been addressed and that all other interested parties have been declined.

It is often advisable to encourage the new recruit to meet the team into which they are moving before they start. Notice periods can be an insecure time and a social meeting after hours is often a comforting step to ensure that they join, as well as a welcoming gesture.
