a job specification
Role
Like CVs, job descriptions should be concise and to the point,
covering all essential items:
- List the duties / daily essential tasks
- Explain the role parameters, ie. head office / field based, reporting
structure, size of team, scope of responsibility
- What key objectives will the new recruit have achieved within
the first 6 months?
Personal
Characteristics
Skills which cant be taught are as important as levels of
experience and assist your consultant in finding the right type
of person for your position:
- What characteristics made the incumbent successful / unsuccessful?
- What personality element is missing within the roles team
environment?
- What type of person will progress well within the organisation?
- What experience / education levels would be required to succeed
in the position.
